Revell 49 merc "mercamino"

Ok last one for today ;D



This used to be a revell 49 merc. I bought the kit and then my friend sent me an extra body where he wacked the top off. So i started working on it. The first thing was that a 56 ford junker donated its rear end which i then molded into the body after chopping the stock rear end away. At its first build pics it had a custom top. But after a couple days after doing it and looking at it i decided to chop the top off again. I then was stuck with NO TOP. NOW WHAT So another trip to my restoration and junker grave yard and robbed a windshield frame from a 56 ford kustom thunderbird resto as it needed to be replaced anyway. Well soem fitting and bending got it to fit on the merc. So after some working on the bed i decided to stop again and wait for my ideas to flow again.

thanks joe. I was lucky to have an extra revell merc body and some random parts for it so i could build it. If it would have just been a kit an i wouldnt have gotten that i wouldnt have built it in the first place. Right now its stalled again but hopefully not for too long. I gotta finish up some of the projects i gots and then i am back on this one. Hopefully my junior 53 ford build of car wont give me too much headaches but u never know. We will see maybe i will get back onto it faster than expected.
